A wedding for a dear couple was held in a forest in the early summer in Karuizawa. Guests were invited to go on a “sound hunt in the forest,” a celebration ceremony for the wedded couple where guests walk through the forest to find nuts, seeds, pieces of trees, sand and other objects to make instruments to make joyful noise. My role was to dress up the forest. A mobile sculpture in the forest was designed inspired by the couple’s names, and a “ring house” for their future home to be built here. Everything that starts from this forest, wind, light, rain, grass, tree, earth, river and the ocean far away.

『森に雨ふり　土に滲み　河となり　海となる』

初夏の軽井沢。大切なふたりの森の中でのウエディング。ゲストみんなで「森のおとさんぽ」をして、実や種・木っ端や砂などでつくられた音具を手に、ふたりへ祝福の音を奏でるセレモニー。その森の装いをさせて頂いた。新婦の姓名から発想された森のモビール。そして将来ここに家を立てる二人のための「指輪の家」。この森からはじまること、風・光・雨・草・木・土・川・遠い海…
